Training for Parent Volunteers
In order to create a consistent process for training parent volunteers on issues of confidentiality, HCPSS has
developed 2 brief training modules and certificate of completion. Both the modules and certificate are located
at:
http://www.hcpss.org/parent/volunteer-information
www.hcpss.org/f/employees/childabuse_ppt.pdf
www.hcpss.org/f/parents/parent-volunteer-confidentiality-certificate.pdf
Once you have completed the training, please submit your certificate of completion to the front office before
registering as a volunteer. Parents must also do this in order to chaperone field trips. Thank you for your
assistance!

CLOTHING FUNDRAISER
Phelps Luck is participating in a clothing to cash recycling program. PLES PTA will be paid for every
pound we collect. There is a bin in the car loop to drop off donations. All materials will be Reworn,
Repurposed or finally Recycled. The goal is to FILL our collection bin WEEKLU with as many plastic
bags of clothing, shoes and other textiles as possible! We will take items in all conditions, unwanted,
outgrown and out of style. We will take all clothing, all footwear, textiles (bedding, sheets, towels,
blankets), accessories (handbags, backpacks, gloves, scarves, jewelry, wallets), and toys (stuffed
animals.)
BOX TOPS 4 EDUCATION
Send Box Tops for Education labels to school ANYTIME in a bag or envelope marked "Box Tops 4
Education" or by using submission forms sent home monthly in your child’s Thursday folder (make sure
to cut out the logo AND expiration date). Box Tops earn CASH for our school that has been used to
fund teacher training, student programs, and school supplies! Thanks for supporting PLES. Together,
we can make a big difference!
