From the Principal. . .
Dear Phelps Luck Families,
HCPSS is seeking feedback on the elementary Related Arts color rotation schedule. The color rotation schedule was implemented to mitigate loss of instructional time due to school closures for related arts classes scheduled on Mondays and Fridays, sometimes up to nine classes per school year. This feedback will be utilized in conjunction with additional stakeholder input to determine the 2022-23 Related Arts schedule model. Thank you for your time in completing this feedback form by March 25, 2022.

In-School COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic:
We are happy to share that HCPSS, in partnership with Giant Food Pharmacy, will be hosting an In-School Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic at our school. Students can receive the primary series of Pfizer vaccinations. The first dose will be given on March 15, 2022 and the second dose will be given on
April 5, 2022.
A Vaccination Clinic Flier/Permission Form from our school, including specific clinic dates, was sent home last week. Please complete and return to our Health Room if you wish for your child to receive the vaccination series.
This is a voluntary immunization opportunity for children who have NOT received a primary Covid-19 vaccination series. Please note that parents whose children have been vaccinated previously and/or do not wish for their children to be vaccinated are not required to return forms. Thank you!
We have our next Family Involvement Team meeting on Tuesday, March 15th from 2:00-3:00pm. Please join us to discuss the topics below.

Calling for the Watchdogs!
Our school has the WATCH D.O.G.S. program, which is a fabulous volunteer program for fathers and father figures. Please contact watchdogs@phelpsluckpta.org for more information from Ms. McGraw (Assistant Principal) or Mr. Wacha (Watchdogs Coordinator). Thank you!
Outdoor Lunch Volunteers Needed!
We still need parent volunteers to help us get through the winter. A text is sent out when outdoor lunch is cancelled due to the weather or lack of staff. If you are already on the schedule, please know that we still need you. If you have flexibility in your schedule, please let us know so we can have enough people each day. If you are not on the schedule and would like to sign up to help one to three hours during the lunches, please send Ms. McGraw an email at Sandra_mcgraw@hcpss.org letting her know the day and time slot(s) that you are available to help. Thank you!
Community Center Next to PLES
Please do not park in the community center next PLES during morning drop off or afternoon pick-up. This is not part of our school property and the people using the facility have been unable to find parking there. The community center has alerted us that they will begin ticketing and towing cars. We appreciate your assistance!
Green School Recycling Collection:
Girl Scout Brownie Troop 2293 is leading a recycling drive for #2 and #5 recyclable materials! This effort aligns with our Green School initiative and collected materials will be used to create raised garden beds for schools! Cleaned items may be dropped in the collection bin located inside the front doors of the school building until April 8th. Thanks for your support!
