IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING DENTAL CLINIC

The health department will be at PLES on December 3rd  for Dental Screenings, Fluoride, and Sealants to those student’s in Grades K,1st,2nd,and 3rd whose parent’s have returned consents.  Consents must be received by November 13th.  All consent’s received after this date will not be accepted.

 

 

 

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING FLUMIST VACCINE
Manufacturing problems have caused a nationwide delay in the production of FluMist and therefore our FluMist clinic must be rescheduled.  Due to the delay, we are unsure when the clinic will take place, but it will likely not be until December.  The flu is a serious illness and the best way to prevent it is through vaccination.  Flu season is October-March.  If you would like to have your child vaccinated sooner, you may be able get the injectable or intranasal vaccine via your child's doctor's office or community immunizers like pharmacies.

 

If your child gets a flu vaccination or any other type of immunization between now and the school flu clinic, and you have previously consented to have your child vaccinated at school, please alert your school nurse at 410-313-6886.

We continue to plan for our flu clinic so, if you have not already, please return your child's flu consent form.  Having these forms will make sure we're ready for the December clinics.  We also will be prepared if FluMist becomes available sooner.
