Dear Parents,

We held a FANTASTIC parent night on Tuesday to share information about Strengths with our 4th and 5th grade parents.  Several students were expects and shared how they use one of their strengths and what it means to them.  We were able to use Title I funds to purchase dinner and the book Strengths Based Parenting for each family to use as a reference.  This event was also aligned to our School Improvement Plan related to student engagement.  When we focus on strengths with students, their engagement level increases tremendously!  While the use of the Strengths Explorer Survey is only used with our 4th and 5th grade students, more information can be found on our website under the “Resources” tab in the Parent Playbook.  The main idea is to grow what is strong in our students!
