Participate In Education Funding Decisions
In just a few weeks, we will know what the budget is for next school year. The Board of Education needs to identify significant reductions before the County Council takes action on May 26 to adopt the Fiscal Year 2017 Operating Budget. The Board needs to make more than $50.4 million in cuts to its operating budget request, but maintain support for the high quality of education that we’ve worked so hard to provide in all of our schools. 

Please consider completing our first online budget survey, available until May 17.  This survey was developed to compliment the scheduled public hearings and budget work sessions. All employees and members of our community are encouraged to review the operating budget request and how the budget is spent. Then, offer your input through the HCPSS online budget survey.
